I've run a tracer and I get a beautiful TIME OUT for each and every hop.

Originally by: J Random Yawn, this reminds me of IRC disco/split/node wars in the 90's back when the were just DoS's. What's funny is you can tell the amount of kids on Eve in the way folk are reacting to the DDoS, like it's a new problem or the world will end or what's happening is new / novel / etc. The don't remember the DoS's in the early 90's or significantly bigger events that took down most of the internet (remember blaster? how about with alternic DNS poisoned the root, etc).
I do wish when this was all said and done CCP would release a technical AAR. Curious what the sustained bandwidth rates were and edge pps drop rates (if any). I.e. curious the problem was CCP (DDoS exceeded their burst capacity and/or the cost wasn't worth it because sustainment at burst levels) or if they actually managed to exceed CCP's ILEC or tier 2 / 3 provider. Also curious if the DDoS was layer 7 related (i.e. the routers kept up fine, it was the proxies/fw/iP|Ds/etc which failed)
